Amit Shah in Manipur Day 3: Visits border town Moreh, meets student bodies, CSOs

Union Home Minister Amit Shah who is in Manipur since May 29, visited the border town of Moreh this morning.

After reaching Moreh, located along the India-Myanmar border in Manipur, a little after 11.30 AM, HM Shah drove straight to the Key Location Point (KLP) where he interacted with the delegations of various local groups including leaders of Nepali Gorkha Samaj, Moreh, Manipuri Muslim Council of Moreh, Hill Tribal Council, Moreh, Moreh Youth Club and Kuki Student Organisation.

DC, Tengnoupol, Krishna Kumar, SP of Tengnoupol and Commandant of 5th Assam Rifles were also present at the meeting.

HM Shah also visited the locations where houses were burnt down since violence broke out across Manipur on May 3.

Today is HM Shah’s day 3 in the trouble-torn northeastern state. From Moreh, the Home Minister left for Kangpokpi, a district of Manipur which too had seen a lot of violence and deaths since May 3.
