Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh’s visionary step to ensure proper development in the hill districts got a massive push today.
Indeed it can be considered as a historic step, as the Hill Leaders Day became official from today.
What can be termed as a big positive move, the deputy commissioners of all the hill districts will interact with leaders of the hill districts to take stock and initiate necessary steps for resolving all the issues.
The interactions between the DCs and leaders of the hill districts will take place on the 3rd week of every month.
All Deputy Commissioners in the hill districts have been directed by the Chief Minister to hold the program without fail at the district headquarters.
Every department under the district administration is required to participate in the program, failing which necessary actions will be taken against those absent.
