Indigo flight from Guwahati to Dibrugarh developed a technical snag and returned to Guwahati

A major air tragedy was averted and it was a close shave for Central Minister Rameshwar, Dibrugarh MLA Prasanta Phukan and Duliajan MLA Terosh Gowala and 181 other passengers after the Guwahati-Dibrugarh Indigo flight that was on way to Dibrugarh from Guwahati had to return back to Guwahati after developing a ‘major technical snag’ mid-air.

Mid-air scare gripped the 184 passengers of the Indigo flight number 6E-2652, as the aircraft developed the snag near Jorhat. Reports stated that failure in one of the engine of the Indigo flight forced the pilots to bring the flight back to Guwahati.

After safely reaching Guwahati, MLA Phukan said, “It seemed there was a major technical snag. Had it not been so major they could have somehow taken the flight to Dibrugharh but they returned to Guwahati. Engineers came and checked. The flight has been cancelled. We are facing serious issues.”

Another passenger said, “After takeoff, and flying for sometime, the pilot announced that there was technical snag in the right side engine. We waited for two hours in the flight itself after landing. They have announced for reschedule and refund.”
