Arunachal youths missing: MP Gao meets Rajnath

Arunachal East Lok Sabha MP Tapir Gao has apprised Defence Minister Rajnath Singh about the issue of 2 youths going missing from near LAC.
The Centre has taken strong cognizance of 2 Arunachal Pradesh youths who have reportedly gone missing from near the LAC. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was apprised about the matter by Arunachal Pradesh Lok Sabha MP Tapir Gao.
During the deliberations, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has assured Tapir Gao that the matter will be accorded topmost priority and will be taken up with the Prime Minister’s Office and Ministry of External Affairs.
Two youths from Arunachal Pradesh’s Anjaw district have reportedly gone missing from an area along the Line of Actual Control.
Both, the youths identified as Bateilum Tikro and Bayingso Manyu went to Changlagam area in search of medicinal herbs on August 19.
Tikro and Manyu were last seen close to the LAC on August 24.
Family members as well as locals suspect that both Bateilum Tikro and Bayingso Manyu might have inadvertently crossed the LAC and China’s PLA might have detained them.
The youths hail from Duiliang village under Chaglagam circle.
