SEBA cancels HSLC Science exam after question paper leaks in social media

SEBA canceled the Science Exam a day before the scheduled exam date after the question paper was leaked on social media

The Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) has cancelled the Assam HSLC exam 2023 for General Science paper. The examination was scheduled on March 13, 2023.
The board has not yet announced the new dates for the HSLC examination for the science subject.
The Education Minister of Assam, Ranoj Pegu took to his Twitter handle to share an official notice released by SEBA. “General Science examination of the on going HSLC examination scheduled for 13/03/2023 has been cancelled by SEBA in view of media reports of leakage of the question paper. Next date will be announced in due course.”

A few pictures of the question paper were also circulated on various social media platforms.

Earlier, HSLC Exam for English subject was cancelled in one of the centres in the Cachar district as there were reports of students using unfair means (cheating) in Cachar’s JR Ucchotor Madhyamik Vidyalaya Gonirgram Higher Secondary examination centre.

In the meanwhile, Assam police has ordered an investigation into the question paper leak.

Assam DGP GP Singh tweeted,

Reference media reports of leakage of General Science (C3) question paper of HSLC examination scheduled for March 13th 2023 conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Assam – A criminal case has been registered and would be investigated by CID Assam. However, The Education Minister of Assam, Ranoj Pegu further tweeted that SEBA will announce alternative date today itself. The Education Minister of Assam tweeted,
