Polish national arrested from Guwahati for living in Assam for 7 years without visa

The person identified as one Waziniki from Poland came to Assam in 2016

Assam police arrested a foreign national on Monday from Guwahati’s Basistha area for allegedly residing in the state for the past 7 years without visa or any other proper documents.

The foreigner has been identified as one Waziniki, a citizen of Poland.

As per inputs, the foreigner was staying in the Hatigaon locality of Guwahati for some time.

The man has been arrested for not having a valid visa. He had visited Assam for the first time in 2016.

A case has been registered under Foreigners Act, 1946.

Further details in connection with the matter are awaited.
