Man killed in a tragic road accident in Guwahati

The incident took place at Narengi when the person got hit by a trekker.

In a tragic incident, one person died on the spot after being hit by a trekker at Narengi area in Guwahati on Monday night.

Following the incident, Noonmati police reached the spot and seized the trekker. However, the driver fled from the spot.

The body has been sent for post-mortem at Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH).

The deceased is yet to be identified.

Last week, a road accident was reported near the Janata Bhawan in the Dispur area, where a youth lost his life. The youth was identified as Sunny Sarma (25) of the Zoo-Tiniali area.

The youth was driving a two-wheeler and was coming from Ganeshguri to Dispur Last Gate when he rammed his vehicle against a divider.
