Maharashtra Govt Donates Rs 10 Cr for Flood Relief in Assam

The devastating floods in Assam have affected 23 lakh people across 29 districts, with the Darrang district being the worst affected.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has handed over a cheque of Rs 10 crore to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to support flood relief efforts in the state.
Chief Minister Sarma extended his heartfelt thanks for the generous donation and said that it will play a crucial role in helping the flood-affected people.

The devastating floods in Assam have affected 23 lakh people across 29 districts, with the Darrang district being the worst affected.
In Darrang, 163,218 individuals were affected, and 98 villages were submerged.
The floods also severely impacted wildlife, particularly in Kaziranga National Park, where 11 wild animals died.
Additionally, 173 of the park’s 233 forest camps were inundated, and 9 others had to be vacated due to the rising waters.
