KSA protests against unfair termination of Security Guards at Karbi Langpi Hydro Electric Project

The KSA stood in solidarity with the affected security guards and demanded that the authorities to retain the 39 security guards.

The Karbi Students’ Association (KSA) continued their protest on Monday against the perceived injustices faced by 39 outsourced security guards of the Karbi Langpi Hydro Electric Project.

The KSA has been demanding the retention of the 39 security guards who were outsourced to the project. The organization claimed that these guards had been working diligently for years but were suddenly terminated without any valid reason.

The KSA stood in solidarity with the affected security guards and demanded that the authorities to retain the 39 security guards. In a striking display of solidarity, members of the KSA shaved their heads to mark their protest.

The protesters also highlighted various injustices faced by the security guards, focusing particularly on the unfair nature of their termination.

Holding placards and banners, and chanting slogans demanding justice, the KSA maintained a peaceful protest while drawing attention to the plight of the affected workers.

If their demands are not met, KSA has threatened to intensify their agitation The authorities, in response, have assured the KSA that they will look into the matter and take necessary action to address the grievances of the security guards.
