Guwahati Doctor found dead at her residence in Hatigaon

In a shocking incident, a doctor of the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her residence in Hatigaon. The deceased doctor was an assistant professor in the department of pathology at GMCH.
As per reports, the doctor was found dead on Sunday morning at her residence in Basisthapur Lane No. 3, Hatigaon, Guwahati. The body of the deceased was recovered from her daughter’s room.
According to sources, the incident took place while the other members of the residence were sleeping. The deceased was taken to GMCH where the doctors declared her dead. The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem. However, the reason behind the incident has not been ascertained.
Meanwhile, the police have registered a case and an investigation is underway.
According to police reports, the deceased was suffering from mental health issues for a long time and was under treatment.
