A fake teacher has been arrested in Assam’s Hojai district today.
The fraudster has been identified as Khairul Islam, a resident of Alitangoni in Nagaon.
Police arrested Khairul Islam after receiving a complaint from a man alleging that Khairul had defrauded and taken money from many people and ran away.
Khairul Islam was residing in a rented house in Hojai.
During interogation, Khairul Islam admitted that he had duped people and said that he made fake seal and stamp and register of the school-Padumpukhuri High School just to get a rented room in Jorhat. He showed the bogus documents to the house owner and requested to be kept as a tenant because he needs to continue working at the school to to earn living. He said that he had no bad intention behind doing this.
Investigation into the matter is underway.
