Assam Police busts fake bank, arrests two

SD: Police initiated quick action and arrested two persons pretending to be employees of the company, while the manager of the company is absconding
The Assam Police have arrested at least two persons for running a fake bank called ‘Akashi Ganga Nidhi Limited’ located in D.K. Road at Gogamukh in Dhemaji district of Assam on Wednesday.
Locals alleged that the manager of the fake bank defrauded several people. He did not return the deposited money of the clients for 2-3 months even after the maturity date.
Following the incident, clients became enraged and gheroed the bank and filed a complaint with the police against the manager of the fake bank.
Following the complaint, the police initiated quick action and arrested two persons supposed to be employees of the bank, while the alleged manager of the bank is absconding.
