This has been informed by Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu.

The results of the HSLC exams in Assam will likely be declared on either April 19th or 20th, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said today.

Briefing news persons, Pegu said, “The results will be announced soon. I think that by April 19 or 20 the results will be out. Elections will happen, but results for the HSLC examination is a different matter. The results will be out after Bihu.”

The Assam Education Minister further stated that the previous marking system of SEBA has been scrapped and evaluation will be done as per a pattern similar to that of the CBSE.

Regarding this, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said, “We had introduced MCQ, students have used OMR sheets, so the marking patters is similar with that of the CBSE. The difference in pattern that there was between both the Boards will now not be there. There will be no difference.”

Last year the Board had introduced changes for the HSLC Exam 2024. OMR sheet was introduced for answering objective type questions (50% of total marks) carrying 1 mark each in case of core subjects, i.e., English(C1), General Mathematics (C2), General Science (C3) and Social Science (C4).

The OMR sheet will be provided for 50% of the total questions, while for the rest 50 questions, separate answer scripts containing 16 pages will be provided as before.

It may be mentioned that around 4,25,924 students appeared in the HSLC examinations, conducted in February.
