Assam Guv pays courtesy visit to VP Jagdeep Dhankar

He congratulated Dhankar on being elected as the 14th Vice President of the country and looked forward to his cooperation and guidance
Governor of Assam Prof Jagdish Mukhi called on the newly elected President of India Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
This was Prof Mukhi’s maiden meeting with Murmu after she took over the reins of the Rashtrapati Bhawan on July 25.
Later, the Governor also paid a courtesy visit to Vice-President-elect Jagdeep Dhankar. He congratulated Dhankar on being elected as the 14th Vice President of the country and looked forward to his cooperation and guidance in developing Assam.
Dhankar, who was the NDA candidate, comfortably won the vice-presidential election on Saturday by defeating Opposition candidate, Margaret Alva.
It may be mentioned here that Prof Mukhi attended the 3rd National Committee meeting on the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav which was presided over by the Prime Minister at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre.
The meeting discussed the series of programs to be organized across the country, including the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
