Boys Outshine Girls in Assam HSLC Exams 2025 With 67.59 Pass Percentage

Assam HSLC Exams 2025 Results: 43,574 boys secured first division, 63,410 second division, and 19,923 third division
Boys have outperformed girls in the Assam High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) or Class 10 Examination 2025 with a higher pass percentage of 67.59%, compared to 61.09% among girl students.
The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) declared the results today. There has been a significant drop in the overall pass percentage to 63.98%, from 75.7% last year.
Out of 4,22,737 students who appeared for the examination, 2,70,471 passed. This includes 1,87,752 boys and 2,34,985 girls.
Among the 1,26,907 boys who passed, 43,574 secured first division, 63,410 second division, and 19,923 third division.
While, of the 1,43,564 girls who passed, 45,467 achieved first division, 72,158 second, and 25,939 third division.
Amishi Saikia of Pragya Academy Senior Secondary School, Jorhat, has topped the state with an impressive 591 marks (98.50%).
Saptarswa Bordoloi of Assam Jatiya Bidyalay, Noonmati, Guwahati, secured the second position with 590 marks (98.33%), while Anirban Borgohain, also from Pragya Academy in Jorhat, stood third with 589 marks (98.17%).
