Assam HSLC Exams 2025 Results : Amishi Saikia of Pragya Academy Senior Secondary School, Jorhat, has topped the state

The Assam High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) or Class 10 exam results for 2025 have been declared by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) today. There has been a significant drop in overall pass percentage to 63.98%, from 75.7% last year.

Amishi Saikia of Pragya Academy Senior Secondary School, Jorhat, has topped the state with an impressive 591 marks (98.50%).

Saptarswa Bordoloi of Assam Jatiya Bidyalay, Noonmati, Guwahati, secured the second position with 590 marks (98.33%), while Anirban Borgohain, also from Pragya Academy in Jorhat, stood third with 589 marks (98.17%).

A total of 89,041 students secured First Division, while 1,35,568 students passed with Second Division. Additionally, 45,862 students were placed in the Third Division.

This year, a total of 4,22,737 students appeared for the Class 10 board exams, which were conducted from February 15 to March 3, while the practical exams were held on January 21 and 22.

Significantly, this was the last year the HSLC examination was held in its current format. From next year, the Class 10 final exam will be conducted at the district level, marking a major shift in Assam’s school education framework.
