Assam: 28-year-old man beaten to death, body buried in a pit

The incident took place in the Jugurkuchi village in Assam’s Nalbari district. The deceased man has been identified as Rahul Das (28).

In a shocking incident, a 28-year old man was allegedly beaten to death by a group of men and his body buried in a pit behind his house.

The incident took place in Assam’s Nalbari district on Friday night. The deceased man has been identified as Rahul Das (28).

As per inputs, Rahul’s uncle, identified as Pankaj Das, was involved in the murder. However, the exact cause of the murder is yet to be ascertained.

Following the incident, police reached the spot and recovered the body and sent for the post-mortem on Saturday.

Four persons including the uncle have been arrested in connection to the incident and it is suspected that more persons are yet to be trapped.

Three of the arrested persons have been identified as Simanta Das, Sanjay Das and Pankaj Das (uncle).

The fourth person’s identity is yet to be ascertained.

Police investigation is underway to arrest all the accused involved in the crime.
