Two incidents of gruesome murder have been reported from two different districts of Assam in the last 24 hours.
In a horrific incident, a son killed his father following a family feud and in another incident, the body of a girl was found lying on the road. Parents and locals are suspecting rape and murder.
In the first incident, a son attacked his father with a sharp weapon that ultimately led to the death of his father. The incident has been reported from Rangapara under the Chariduar Police Station in Sonitpur district.
The deceased has been identified as Ritmal Boro. Accused Dwaimalu Boro, a BA 6th semester student, has been arrested by the police. The incident is said to be an outcome of family feud.
In the second incident, the body of the girl was found in the middle of a road at Dhupguri Colony Basti of Dhing in Nagaon district. According to her parents, the girl had stepped out of her house at around 7pm to go to washroom but never came back.
The inconsolable father of the deceased said, “She came out of the hosue last evening to go to the washroom. After that she was missing, we could not find her anywhere.”
Injury marks were clearly visible in the body of the deceased.
Another local said, “She is from our village. She came out of her home after 7 pm to go to the washroom, but she was nowhere to be found. The family was searching for her. Only in the morning we came to know that she was found dead and her body was lying on the road. I suspect that she has been murdered.”
