5 star hospitality chain, Hyatt Hotels, to open hotel and resort in Kaziranga soon: Assam CM

CM informed that the Hyatt group of hotels will set up the hotel with 120 rooms at an investment of Rs 100 crore
In a move that would further boost tourism and economy in and around Kaziranga National Park and create jobs, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today announced that global 5 star hospitality chain, Hyatt Hotels would soon set up shop in Kaziranga.
Hyatt Hotels is expected to open a 120 room capacity 5 star hotel and resort with an investment of Rs 100 crore.
Assam Government on Saturday signed an MoU for the setting up of the five star property.
CM Sarma said, “At the initiative of the Assam Tourism Department the state government will sign an MoU to set up a five-star category hotel near Kaziranga National Park. This hotel will be set up by the Hyatt Group of Hotels.”
Hyatt aims to cross the milestone of 50 Hyatt branded properties in the country by the end of 2023. The chain currently has 41 hotels across eight brands in India.
Meanwhile, providing a major boost to the industrial and economic growth of Assam, six MoUs worth Rs 3,114 crore have been signed between the Industries Department and six private companies in the presence of CM today.
CM Sarma said, “This initiative will pave way to set up industrial units in Assam. The MoUs will bring a total investment of Rs 3,114 core and it will generate more than 5,000 job opportunities in the state”.
Details of the six MoUs are as follows:
Kesar Petro Products will pump an investment of Rs 2,000 crore which will generate 200 direct and 1800 indirect employment.
Longspan Structures Private Limited to invest Rs 129 crore which will generate 220 direct and 180 indirect employment.
SBL Biscuits Private Limited will invest Rs 139.14 crore and will generate 200 direct and 350 indirect employment.
Umrangshu (India) Cements LLP will make an investment of RS 285 crore which will generate 300 direct and 700 indirect employment.
Sunit Breweries Private Limited will invest Rs 151 crore which will generate 200 direct and 200 indirect employment.
Jericho Foods and Beverages LLP came forward to invest Rs 410 crore will generate 300 direct and 500 indirect employment.
