3 FIRs have been filed in connection with the missing cases and further probe is underway
The disappearance of 3 girls from 3 villages in Dhubri district’s Golakganj on the same day has triggered sensation. Family members fear the three girls have fallen prey to the thriving flesh trade racket.
The girls have been missing since August 2.
Initially the family members of the 3 girls thought that they might have eloped because of some love affair and decided not to file any complaint with the police.
On August 2, two of the girls had gone to the local market at Agomoni to buy a mobile phone. But till now there is no trace of both the girls. One of the girls is a resident of the Sindurai village and another is a resident of Bihkhowa village. Both were students of the Pragati College in Agomoni.
Similarly, mystery shrouds the disappearance of another girl who too is missing since August 2. She had gone missing after she left home to attend classes at Halakura village.
Family members of the two missing girls have filed FIRS at the Agomoni Police station, and another FIR has been filed at the Golakganj Police Station regarding disappearance of third girl.
Anxious family members of all the 3 missing girls have urged police to take prompt action to ensure the girls’ safe return.
