1 dead, several injured after truck hits 4 bikes on Nilachal flyover in Guwahati

The truck was heading towards the Bharalumukh side on the flyover when it four bikes during which one person died on the spot.

In a horrific accident, at least one person died and several others sustained injuries after a speeding truck hit four motorcycles on the newly inaugurated Nilachal Flyover in Guwahati.

The accident took place on Saturday in Maligaon near Kamakhya gate area.

As per inputs, the truck was heading towards the Bharalumukh side on the flyover when it rammed into the four bikes during which one person died on the spot.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

Following the accident, several people including the bike riders sustained injuries. The driver fled from the scene.

Last Wednesday, at least six people were critically injured in two separate road accidents in Guwahati.

A biker and four occupants of a vehicle sustained grievous injuries in a major road accident that occurred in Guwahati’s Ganeshguri area on Wednesday night.

In another road mishap which took place at Rukminigaon area of the city late last night, a person was run over by a speeding car as he was crossing the road.
