A lady doctor was allegedly verbally abused over non-availability of ambulance service and had to face the ire of an accident victim’s family.
A lady doctor was allegedly verbally abused over non-availability of ambulance service and had to face the ire of an accident victim’s family.
Chaotic scenes were witnessed at the Udharbond Primary Health Centre over the alleged non-availability of ambulance under the 108 service. As per inputs, a bike hit a person, but when onlookers called for an ambulance dialing 108, they failed to recieve an appropriate response. Wasting no time, the locals rushed the victim to the primary health centre. It was then, that a heated excahnge of words took place between the lady doctor present at the PHC and the attendants of the accident victim, over the non-availability of ambulance service.
Fearing further escalation of the situation, the doctor informed the police following which DGP GP Singh has ordered the Cachar police to look into the matter and take necessary action.
