Jambey Tashi of Lungla constituency in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh was laid to rest near his residence at Muyu village under Lumla Sub-Division today.
The last rites of Tashi was conducted this morning near his residence where thousands of people across the state visited and paid their last respect to the departed leader.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Speaker PD Sona, Ministers Alo Libang, Tage Taki and many other legislators paid last tribute to the late MLA.
In his condolence message before the cremation Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that untimely demise of dynamic leader like Jambey Tashi is a personal loss for him and the state in general.
The Chief Minister urged the public to maintain good relations and assured that any unfinished development projects started by Jambey Tashi would be completed.

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein remembering his association with Jambey Tashi said that the departed leader was like a friend and younger brother to him and they had plans to visit Lungla in the month of November 2022.
He also expressed his condolences remembering Late Jambey as one of the most dynamic and promising leaders in the state.
Goleng Monpa, father of Jambey Tashi conveyed his gratitude to all the Ministers and legislators of Arunachal Pradesh for visiting the residence of his late son to pay their tribute.
He prayed for his swift rebirth in higher realms.
Jambey Tashi died last Wednesday at Down Town Hospital in Guwahati, Assam owing to a prolonged illness.
