Hundreds march in Arunachal against insurgency, extortion & drug menace

Expressing their resentment over the rampant insurgency, extortion, kidnappings, and drug menace, villagers including students and traders in khonsa under the Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh took to the streets

Expressing their resentment over the rampant insurgency, extortion, kidnappings, and drug menace, villagers including students and traders in khonsa under the Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh took to the streets on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti today.

Carrying banners and placards those taking part in the rally shouted slogans against insurgency, extortion, and drug menace in Khonsa town even as they remembered the contributions of Mahatma Gandhi to the nation.

Speaking to Northeast Live, rallyist expressed their dismay stating that insurgency and drug consumption are on a rise and need to be curbed.

The rallyists also denounced the evils in the society and strongly asserted that violence cannot be tolerated in the region.

Those taking part in the rally also said that they will adhere to non-violence and continue to wage war against social evils that have been plaguing society.
