Arunachal Govt Sec School, Monigong’s Class 10 pass percentage at 5.88%, Edu Dept issues show cause notice

The department pulled up the School and asked to explain why the abysmal performance despite having full-fledged subject teachers in the school
The Arunachal Deputy Director of School Education has issued a show cause notice to the teachers of Government Secondary School, Monigong in Arunachal’s Shi Yomi district because of the poor performance of the students in the Class 10 final examinations this year. The Class 10 pass percentage of the Government Secondary School, Monigong is 5.88%. 34 students appeared for the Class 10 exams.
“The CBSE results for classes X and XII for the session 2022-2023 were declared on May 12, 2023, and it has been seen that the class X result and pass percentage of the government Sec School, Monigong Shi Yomi district, is very low, and the pass percentage is only 5.88% out of 34 students who appeared in the exam,” the show cause notice read.
The deputy director of School Education, Moli Tato, also mentioned that it is a matter of serious concern as in spite of having full-fledged subject teachers in the school, the performance of students is very poor.
The list of teachers served show cause notice:
- Diken Lomi, Headmaster
- K. Ngupok, TGT (Maths)
- Y. Tayeng, TGT (science)
- Lilly Pujen, TGT (Social Science)
- Yanima Mize, PRT (English)
“Therefore the subject teachers of the class X mention herein along with the head of institution is hereby serve show cause notice to explain the reason of poor performance of the students in their subject,” the show cause notice further read.
The CBSE results for classes 10 and 12 for the session 2022-2023 were declared on May 12.
