With simultaneous assembly and parliamentary elections just a few days left, the electioneering situation here in East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh is turning more hot and challenging with various parties battling hard to come victorious and win the election.

Ninong Ering, sitting MLA from 37th Pasighat West and official BJP candidate, had sustained minor injuries in a road accident on Saturday is currently undergoing a traditional rituals of healing at his home. As per this traditional ritual of ‘Ipak’ he is not allowed to go out and others are also not allowed to visit him.

Many see that this will impact Ering’s prospects in the elections.

However, Ninong’s inability to campaign has not deterred his supporters as well as the BJP workers from drumming up support in his favour. The highly spirited BJP workers are reaching out to every voter on the sole agenda of development for all.

Aruni Jamoh, ZPM Ruksin speaking to Northeast Live said, “It will not be wrong to say that there is 99 % (winning chances) for the BJP in Pasighat. The status of the MLA and MP is quite good. The NCP has no chance at all. We are fully confident.”

Former East Siang District BJP Yuva Morcha President, Mongol Taga said, “”There is no question of victory or defeat, the BJP is only fighting for the margin, the NCP has already lost, it is beyond question. I cannot say about the exact figures but looking at the present circumstances there is at least 70-75% votes with the BJP in 37 Pasighat. We are 100% sure that we will win.”
