We are working under the overall supervision of the Unified Command headed by the Adviser. Right now the BSF is deployed in 9 districts, there are 79 companies. So the strength has increased.”
Eastern Command BSF ADG Sonali Mishra maintained that the BSF has always helped people who sought assistance during times of trouble.
Mishra said, “And we ensure that we maintain peace and harmony in places where the BSF is deployed in a very fair manner. Not only that wherever the help is required by the local people wherever the BSF is deployed, we provide that also. Our aim is that peace and law and order should come back soon in Manipur.”
