Mizoram Govt grants consent for CBI probe into offences in state to eliminate corruption

The Mizoram government has granted consent for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigation of offences in the state to eliminate corruption.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is resolute in eliminating corruption for the welfare of the citizens.

Chief Minister Lalduhoma took X, formerly known as Twitter and wrote, “Committed to transparency and accountability, #Mizoram grants consent for a #CBI investigation. Our government is resolute in eliminating corruption for the welfare of our citizens,” CM Lalduhoma wrote on X.

Earlier on December 22, gracing the function of the passing out parade (POP) of 69th Batch recruit of constables and 4th batch Head Constables (operator) held at Police Training School, Thenzawl, CM Lalduhoma said that the government is committed to put an end to the smuggling of drugs, dry areca nuts, and other illegal items through the state and protect the community from any further illicit trafficking.

Additionally, he told the police officers that they were the primary team responsible for accomplishing this task and that public safety depended heavily on their efficiency.

The Chief Minister asked them to put up their utmost effort, discipline, and dedication in this regard.
