Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga in his speech at their party’s office Hnam Run on Friday said that tribal Ministers and MLAs from Manipur met him on Thursday and requested him to negotiate with the Nagas in Manipur.
“I told the tribal MLAs that Nagas have always followed the footsteps of the MNF party in terms of peace settlement, and that it is important to keep apprising the actual situation of Manipur to the Centre. I believe the Centre requires a good political advice,” Zoramthanga said.
The Chief Minister also stated that the Zo ethnic tribes from Myanmar, Bangladesh and Manipur regard Aizawl as their Jerusalem, and also said that Aizawl is the only city among Europe, Asia and Indian subcontinent where you will find a mass of worshippers on the streets on a Sunday on their way to the church.
Zoramthanga affirmed the congregation that it is important to have faith that God has chosen Mizoram for a special purpose, and reiterated that had that not been the reason the Mizo National Front would not have survived for over 60 years.
CM Zoramthanga further stated that he had finished writing his second biography, which he said will be released soon.
