Just a day after the Khasi Students Union of Meghalaya conducted a surprise check on buses travelling into Meghalaya from Assam.
Arunachal Pradesh Students Union, today, conducted a similar check at Banderdewa check gate. Banderdewa check gate is the gateway to Arunachal Pradesh’s capital city Itanagar.
As per reports, around 50-100 people entered the state without an Inner Line Permit everyday.
Significantly after the AAPSU check it was found that as many as 8 shopkeepers in Bandardewa check gate area have been issuing fake ILP’s to those trying to get into the state.
