Tragedy on Diwali: Two fire incidents reported in Guwahati

In one incident a flat was completely gutted and in the other incident of fire, a house was set ablaze

Amid Diwali celebrations, at least two incidents of fire were reported from two different locations in Guwahati.

In one incident a flat was turned into ashes in Guwahati’s Panjabari area on Monday night after the flat caught fire because of firecracker splinters falling on the false ceiling of the flat resulting in a massive blaze.
As per reports, occupants of the flat were out of station when the fire incident took place.

Even though several fire tenders were pressed into service, by the time the fire was doused the flat was completely razed to the ground.
The second incident of fire was reported from the Zoo Road Tiniali area of Guwahati.

As per reports, the fire incident was reported from a house in Sonali Path in Zoo Road Tiniali area.

Locals believe that the fire was triggered by firecracker splinters.

No casualty or injuries have been reported in both the fire incidents.
