Arunachal: Massive landslide completely wash away NH-415; road communication to Itanagar adversely affected

A major portion of the National Highway 415 has been completely washed away due to massive landslides near Sango resort in Itanagar. The traffic has been diverted through the Jollang
A major portion of the National Highway 415 has been completely washed away due to massive landslides near Sango resort in Itanagar.
The traffic has been diverted through the Jollang road to reach Itanagar. Restoration works of the national highway has already begun on a war footing.
The affected area is just 6 kilometers away from Itanagar which is a organic vegetables destination. Livelihood of many women vendors are affected, as local women in the area produce and sell organic vegetables as a means of their livelihood.
Meanwhile, the chief auditor of All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation, Dabo Loda spoke excliusively to Northeast Live on the restoration work which is currently underway at NH-415.
He cited unplanned drainage system as the root cause and appealed the state government to take appropriate measures.
