Obom Tangu from Arunachal to contest in Indian Idol season 14

Obom Tangu was the winner of Arunachal Idol Season 5 held in 2022 and also the winner of Upper Siang Idol Season 1 held in 2021

Pround moment for Arunachal Pradesh. Obom Tangu from Upper Siang district of the state has been selected to contest in the sason 14 of the most prestigious singing reality show ‘Indian Idol’, which is all set for its premiere on October 7, 2023.

The show recently wrapped up its auditions across India and selected the top 15 contenders.

22 year old Obom Tangu hails from Tuting in Upper Siang district. He completed his bachelor’s degree in political science from Dera Natung Government College in Itanagar this year.

He was the winner of Arunachal Idol Season 5 held in 2022 and also the winner of Upper Siang Idol Season 1 held in 2021.

The season 14 of Indian Idol will be produced by ARSenic’s Business Empire under the direction of Namit Sharma. The show will be telecasted every Saturday and Sunday on over-the-top (OTT) platform-Sony Liv.

The show will be hosted by Aditya Narayan. The judges of this season are Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani, and Kumar Sanu.

It may be mentioned that state’s singer Rito Raba who has now become the social media sensation for his songs was the contestant of Indian Idol season 13.
