Arunachal Pradesh: Keyi Panyor to be named as district soon, says CM Khandu

The long-standing aspiration of the people of Ziro Valley to have their administration will be fulfilled

Arunachal Pradesh is all set to announce a new district – Keyi Panyor, Chief Minister, Pema Khandu said after the conclusion of his two-day tour of the 16-Yachuli Assembly constituency.

However, the final approval for the creation of the new district will be considered when the state government receives a well-defined proposal with earmarked boundaries, a site for headquarters and other required infrastructure along with the unanimous consent of all stakeholders.

Once approved, the long-standing aspiration of the people of Ziro Valley to have their administration will also be fulfilled.

“Concluding my 2-day tour of the 16-Yachuli Assembly constituency, I am delighted to share that in response to overwhelming demand, we are ready to create a new district – Keyi Panyor – by bifurcating Lower Subansiri. However, the final approval for creation of the new district will be considered when we receive a well-defined proposal with earmarked boundaries, site for headquarters and other required infrastructure along with unanimous consent of all stakeholders. Once approved, the long-standing aspiration of the people of Ziro Valley to have their own administration will also be fulfiled.
