Assam: Drunk father kills newborn child in Cachar

In a shocking incident, a father allegedly killed his 4-day-old baby in the Kurkuri tea garden area, Cachar.

As per inputs, he killed his 4-day-old child by suffocating him to death with a blanket.

Reportedly, the accused Raju Munda, who was intoxicated, first brutally assaulted his wife and then forcibly threw her out of their home and later took the life of his newborn child.

The incident is reported to have occurred on Saturday.

Accused Raju Munda is still absconding. Police have initiated an investigation into the case

There is growing concern about the rising number of murder cases in Assam. While the police are working diligently to apprehend criminals, there seems to be no end to such tragic incidents.
