Two missing minor brothers stabbed to death with sharp weapon in Assam’s Hailakandi

Both the bodies of the brothers were found on Monday morning in Khujarai Basti.
In a horrific incident, two minor brothers, missing since last Saturday were found dead in Assam’s Hailakandi district on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as brothers Dhananjay Tripura and Dilunjay Tripura.

As per inputs, the minors were allegedly stabbed to death with a sharp weapon by some unidentified assailant.
“My sons went out on Saturday and never returned. We searched for several hours in the evening but couldn’t find them”, said the father of the deceased boys.
“Someone told us today that they observed two bodies floating in water and we immediately rushed to the spot. However, after the bodies were recovered we saw several injury marks and suspected it was a murder. Following the incident I immediately approached the police station,” he stated.
The police reached the spot and sent their bodies to S.K. Roy Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination. A manhunt has been launched to nabbed the culprit by police.
Further investigation is underway.
