Assam: Lover kills married girlfriend, her dog and brutally attacks husband and 2 children

In a horrific incident, a man killed his married girlfriend and brutally attacked her husband and two children before killing himself.
The incident took place in Boragaon in Guwahati. The man, identified as Niranjan Gohain developed a liking for the woman who had been married for the last 13 years. Both were seeing each other for the past three years.

Reportedly, the woman had even eloped with the Niranjan three months ago after physically assaulting her husband. She later returned to the family.

However, things took a turn for the worse last night when Niranjan came to the woman’s house with the motive of killing her.

As per inputs, Niranjan broke open the grill and first killed the pet dog. He then assaulted her two children with an iron rod and then attacked her husband. Niranjan finally killed the woman with a sword after she allegedly tried to stop him. Moments later, he killed himself.

The woman’s husband and two children are currently admitted to the hospital. One of the two children is in a critical state.

The police have seized the weapons used in the crime.
