In a remarkable achievement, Dimum Pertin, a young entrepreneur from Arunachal Pradesh, gained global recognition as her startup, Gepo Aali, hailing from Dambuk in the Lower Dibang Valley, represented India at the Youth Co: Lab Summit 2023.
It is an initiative by the United Nations Development Programme and Citi Foundation – held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Arunachal Pradesh’s Chief Minister took to Twitter to extend his heartfelt congratulations to Dimum Pertin. His tweet read, “Truly inspiring to see Yuva Shakti of Arunachal Pradesh becoming job providers, instead of job-seekers. Young entrepreneur Ms Dimum Pertin’s startup, Gepo Aali, based in Dambuk (Lower Dibang Valley), represented India at the Youth Co: Lab Summit 2023 – an initiative by the United Nations Development Programme and Citi Foundation – held in Bangkok, Thailand. Among the 12 winners across six themes, Pertin was chosen to represent the country in Thailand. Her experimentation with Shree Ann Millet not only showcases her entrepreneurial skills but also contributes to the preservation of our tribal identities.
