Assam: ATTSA leader booked for beating, pouring hot water on minor female domestic help

The accused has been identified as Maneshwar Saora, the leader of Assam Tea Tribes Students Association (ATTSA).
In a dreadful incident, a student leader was arrested for allegedly pouring hot steaming water on their minor domestic help in Assam’s Tinsukia district.
The incident took place at Kakopathar village in the Doomdooma area.
The accused has been identified as Maneshwar Saora, the leader of Assam Tea Tribes Students Association (ATTSA).
It is also alleged that Saora’s wife too had tortured the minor girl.
The minor has been working at the residence of the student leader for the past two months.
“Maneshwar poured hot water on me. He used to beat me too. I’ve been working here for two months”, the minor victim girl said.
Following the incident, the police has lodged an FIR against the accused ATTSA student leader Maneshwar Saora.
