Manipur: Minister Nemcha Kipgen provides financial aid to IPDs in Kangpokpi

As a part of the ongoing measures to provide relief and rehabilitation to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the wake of the ongoing ethnic clashes in Manipur, Minister Nemcha Kipgen extended financial aid for those living in relief camps in Kangpokpi.

The Minister provided financial assistance for clothing and personal belongings to those living in relief camps at ITI Kangpokpi and DIET Centre, Leikop.

Apart from the financial aid, the Minister also provided food items including eggs, etc. to the inmates of the two relief camps.

Earlier, on July 8, the Minister had also extended similar financial aid to the IDPs at one of the relief camps at Kangpokpi.

Minister Nemcha Kipgen said, “As assured by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah for rehabilitation of our displaced people during his visit to the state, I have extended financial assistance to the relief camp inmates at Kangpokpi on July 8 and also took stock of the conditions in relief camps and had an interaction with the IDPs.”

She also said that during the interaction with the inmates, they expressed their deep gratitude to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah for fulfilling most of the assurances he gave during his visit.
