6 killed after plane crashes and catches fire near Southern California airport

Six people were killed when a plane crashed and burst into flames while landing at French Valley Airport in Murrieta, California.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the Cessna C550 business jet crashed at 4:15 a.m. on Saturday.
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, it took firefighters more than an hour to extinguish the flames, which had burned nearly an acre of grass near French Valley Airport.
The Riverside County sheriff’s office said all six passengers on board the aircraft were found dead at the site.
The National Transportation Safety Board and FAA will conduct an investigation into the incident and a preliminary report was expected in about two weeks, reports said.
