Floral tributes paid to personnel killed in cross firing in Bishnupur

An uneasy calm prevails in the Manipur’s Bishnupur district following the intermittent firing between armed militants and security forces at the Kangvai-Awang Lekhai area last night
A police personnel was killed in the cross firing. The deceased personnel, identified as Pukhram Ranbir alias Naoba, a personnel of Bishnupur District Police, was reportedly shot dead during the cross-firing.
Floral tributes were paid to the deceased police personnel today at the 1st Manipur Rifles battalion in Imphal in the presence of Ministers and MLAs, High Ranking Officers of the state, and the Central Para Military Force. Later, his body was taken to his native village of Moirang for performing last rites.
