Meghalaya CM inaugurates new annexe building of Meghalaya High Court

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma inaugurated the new annexe building of the High Court of Meghalaya on Saturday.

The new annexe building was inaugurated in the presence of Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee and other officials of the Court.

Law Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh was also present on the occasion.

“Delighted to inaugurate the Annex building of Meghalaya High Court today, alongside Hon’ble Chief Justice Mr. Sanjib Banerjee, Law Minister @ampareenlyngdoh and Education Minister @a_rakkam Infrastructure development is our priority, and this milestone will enable the court to deliver legal services more efficiently.” CM Conrad Sangma wrote on twitter.

Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee highlighted various initiatives taken by the Court, including the hybrid mode of hearing and live streaming of the hearings, to bring more transparency.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Sangma also announced that 2500 LP schools in Meghalaya will get a new building or repair work will be done to the building.
