Tripura: Wife chops husband’s head with machete, surrenders before police

In a shocking incident reported from Gomati in Tripura, a woman murdered her husband by hacking him with a machete and surrendered before the police.

Police has arrested the accused Kajol Kanya Jamatia (49), who murdered her husband Premguru Janajatia (60) on Thursday.

On getting the information police with forensic team rushed to the scene of crime. Bimal Baidy, investigating officer of the case said, “We received an information that a woman had murdered her husband by attacking him with a sharp knife at Kashipada Para. To check if it is a fact we reached the spot and found that in a mud hut the lady had attacked her husband with a sharp machete and surrendered before the police.”

He added, “We came to know that there was some misunderstanding between the couple. The husband and wife use to quarrel on regular basis and unable to tolerate it anymore this incident occurred.”

A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
