Assam Police begins probe into naxal based link to Assam after sensational letter reveals plot to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Ever since the recovery of the sensational letter that involves an assassination plot for Prime Minister Narendra Modi which was addressed to a person named Comrade Prakash. Inputs from security agencies hint that Comrade Prakash might be a person named Ritupam Goswami alias Nabin.

According to Assam Special Director General of Police, Pallab Bhattacharya, Ritupam Goswami has studied at Jawaharlal Nehru University and got close to the Democratic Students Union students organisation, which is affiliated to the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist).

Bhattacharya further stated that further course of action would be taken on the matter once more inputs come in from the Maharashtra Police regarding the matter.
