Japan to help Manipur youths get better jobs in Japan and across the world

Japan has agreed to work towards improving the skillsets of the youths of Manipur and ensure that they get better job opportunities
Youths of Manipur might soon be working in Japan. In some good news for youngsters of the northeastern state of Manipur, Japan has agreed to work together with the Manipur government to enhance the skillsets of the youths, improve their employability and ensure better job opportunities for them not just in the state but in Japan and anywhere in the world.
“I had an honour to call on H.E. Mr. @NBirenSingh, the Chief Minister of Manipur. We had fruitful discussions on further expanding Japan-Manipur cooperation, building on the foundation our historical ties. The skilling of Manipuri youths was one of the key areas of focus, with plans to provide them with better job opportunities in Japan and other parts of the world,” Ambassador Hiroshi Suzuki tweeted after his meeting with Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that Japan and Manipur would together launch new projects to upskill the youth of the state.
The meeting, held at the Chief Minister’s office on Thursday, also decided that Manipur and Japan would work towards further expanding economic and cultural ties between the two nations and building on the foundation of their historical ties.
The Chief Minister, in a Facebook post wrote, “I was called on by Mr. Suzuki Hiroshi, Ambassador of Japan to India at my secretariat office today. Had a fruitful discussion concerning various projects in Manipur, including skilling of Manipuri youths to provide them better job opportunities in Japan and other parts of the world.”
The move is expected to not only provide better employment opportunities for the youths of Manipur but also strengthen the ties between Japan and Manipur.
