Arunachal CM Khandu meets locals of Tato village; takes note of issues faced by locals

Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu, who is on a tour to review the overall infrastructure in the six districts of the frontier state, met the local leaders of Tato in Arunachal’s Shi Yomi district on Sunday and discussed the issues they faced.
During the meet, Chief Minister Khandu assured the people of speedy development of the Tato district headquarters.
Sharing the visit on twitter, Chief Minister Pema Khandu wrote, “Meeting people of border areas, understanding their challenges helps expedite assistance needed from the Govt. In Shi Yomi district, met local leaders from Tato to know their issues. Advised officials to resolve their grievances at the earliest. Also assured them of speedy development of Tato district headquarters.”
The Chief Minister also inaugurated the Festival Ground in Mechukha.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for four projects, including the District Secretariat, at Tato.
“हमारी सरकार प्रदेश के समग्र विकास के लिए संकल्पित और समर्पित है। Gone are the days of dilly-dallying. Now projects are being completed within a fixed deadline furthering growth of Arunachal. Inaugurated Festival Ground, whose foundation was laid by me in November 2021 & 28 projects, including Civil Terminal Building, for connectivity of fixed wing aircraft, at Mechukha. Also laid foundation stone of 4 projects, including District Secretariat, at Tato” CM Khandu wrote on twitter.
Earlier, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of the under-construction Potin-Pangin two-lane highway project and expressed happiness with the progress made.
The rural road network of the state got a further boost after the Centre on Tuesday released Rs 22.74 crore for the upkeep, maintenance and development of rural roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
The grant-in-aid was given in recognition of the state’s “best performance” in the implementation of the rural road development scheme during the 2022-23 financial year.
