The Arunachal government on Thursday (March 30) announced a Rs 1 lakh reward for the informer about the two escaped militants

Four days after the daring Khonsai jailbreak that left one constable dead and two NSCN-K militants still on the run, the Arunachal government on Thursday (March 30) announced Rs 1 lakh each as reward for the informer about the two escaped militants and a judicial probe into the jailbreak.

The district and session judge of Khonsa also directed an inquiry for the escapees.

“It is thereby brought to public notice that a reward of ₹ 1,00,000/- (One lac) each has been declared upon the criminals involved in this case.”

The reward shall be given to any individual who can provide accurate information that leads to the arrest of the militants.

The identity of the informer shall be kept a secret,” the release stated.

A case was also registered against the two hardcore NSCN (K) Nikki Sumi faction rebels.

The two militants have been identified as self-styled private Rocksen Homchha and Tipu Kitnya.

The deceased constable was identified as Wangnyien Bosai.
A massive manhunt is underway to nab the rebels.

Tight vigil is also being maintained and house-to-house search operations are being conducted to apprehend the absconders. The police have taken help from the Assam Rifles and CRPF to nab the duo.
