Assam man lynched over land dispute

The family of the victim has alleged that Asom Jatiya Parishad (AJP) leader Jiabur Rahman is behind the attack

In a shocking incident, a man from Tezpur, Assam, was lynched by unknown assailants over a land dispute.

The victim, identified as Habibur Rahman, was attacked by a group of seven people in Tezpur’s Jorgorh Chariali area while he was on his way home.

Following the attack, Habibur Rahman was immediately rushed to the hospital, where the doctor declared him dead.

The family of the victim has alleged that Asom Jatiya Parishad (AJP) leader Jiabur Rahman is behind the attack.

Reportedly, Habibur Rahman bought land near Jiabur Rahman’s house. However, the victim’s family has alleged that Jiabur Rahman wanted to snatch the land and thus attacked him.

The family of the victim has demanded strict action against the accused.

Further investigation is underway.
