Every poor household will get gas connection, Rs 1250 monthly, 1.3 lakh houses, old age pension, widow pension, good roads, water connection
With just a few days to go for the Meghalaya Assembly Elections, the BJP has stepped up its poll campaign in poll-bound Meghalaya. Assam Chief Minister and NEDA convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma today took the Garo hills by storm by addressing mega rallies in Mahendra Ganj under Southwest Garo hills.
Addressing a mass gathering, CM Sarma launched a scathing attack on the Congress, saying that the Congress says: “Give us a vote, then we will work. But for us it doesn’t matter if you vote for us or not, we will work and remove poverty. Everyone, even if they don’t become rich, at least should be from the middle class,” CM Sarma said.
Citing the example of Assam in terms of the work done by the Himanta Biswa Sarma led-Assam government, CM Sarma said that on May 10 the government will complete 2 years. As many as 50,000 people will come in and will receive appointment letters irrespective of their religion. The only criteria that needs to be fulfilled is that all those who get the job will have to look after their parents after getting the job.
CM Sarma also announced that Rs 1250 will be provided to every household on the 10th of each month and promised to provide gas connection with 2 gas cylinders for free.
Launching another attack on NPP and TMC Meghalaya, CM Sarma said that Conrad Sangma and Mukul Sagma have kept the fund for public in lockers. But the BJP will break the locker and will bring that money to the poor people.
“On 27th the people will have to vote for the BJP and open the locker. Once the key is open, every poor household will get gas connection, Rs 1250 monthly, 1.3 lakh houses, old age pension, widow pension, good roads and water connection.”
To make this happen, people should vote for the BJP, CM Sarma added.
Addressing another rally in Meghalaya, CM Sharma launched an attack at the NPP, TMC and the Congress saying that in their rule, the poor people remained poor and have been deprived of facilities, adding that there is a chance this time as for the first time in Meghalaya the BJP is contesting from 60 seats.
The NEDA convenor urged the people of Meghalaya to vote for the BJP and form BJP government in the state. He was campaigning for Sengnab Momin contesting from 38 Mendipathar constituency, Sukharam K Sangma from 39- Resubelpara constituency, Tinku Marak from Mehendraganj and Rapiush Sangma from Rongjeng constituency.
